The Greek King’s College London Alumni Society organized a social event at Ghika Gallery of Benaki Museum in Athens (Greece). Her Majesty’s Ambassador to Greece H.E. Mr. John Kittmer (KCL Alumnus) attended this event as a guest of honor and he was honored by Greek King’s College London Alumni Society represented kindly by Mrs. Olga Kefalogianni (Member of the Greek Parliament – KCL Alumna).
Mrs. Olga Kefalogianni noted that H.E. Mr. John Kittmer works constantly on the Greek Cause that is the enormous cultural, spiritual and historical patrimony Greece offered the world, through centuries and one of the many noble causes is to preserve the Adamantions Korais Chair in King’s College London.
Mr. Epameinondas Stylopoulos, chairman of the Greek King’s College London Alumni Society, commented that “Our world is changing fast and all citizens of the world have to embrace and absorb many changes leading to a better society and pass on fundamental values to future generations just like King’s College London alumni”.
Finally, H.E. Mr. John Kittmer thanked the Greek King’s College London Alumni Society for the invitation and the honor. Moreover, he made special reference to the Greek culture and history given that he is currently a part – time PHD student at King’s College London and his thesis regards the poetry of Yannis Ritsos.
